Do you ‘know’ Your Fictional Character?
Think about it.
When writing fiction, your character must appear to the reader as real to them as your mother appears to you. Take a good look at your characters. Could you put an answer to ALL of these questions?
The fact is, if your character is convincing, you’re a long way to rewarding the reader. There’s a damn good chance you’ll not use every answer to your character’s makeup, but the writer knowing every detail is not a choice, it is a writer’s duty.
