Dogs are born with the genes of their species, hunter/retriever, herder, playful soft mouths, fast, slow, stubborn, stupid, etc etc but zi never met a dog raised with love and respect, will only show those traits, raised to fight, protect, guide, sniff, all beautiful, but a dog raised with a lack of patience and kindness will resort in that dog having internal fear, resulting unpredictability and a very sad animal. As you say, Sturg, dogs need great understanding, some more than others, but all must be loved to show love. 💙
