God ignored me…

Either life is getting better or I’m growing easier to please. There maybe other reasons, but heck, my seventies are no longer approaching, only the hope to see them behind me.

I don’t regret too much, maybe. Perhaps there’s regret over never coming to understand God. For some reason it didn’t sit okay with me that He gave everything, never to ask anything in return, except maybe a prayer here or there. I didn’t even, to my life’s recollection, give Him that, with good reason in my book. But seriously, I love magicians, and He’s up there with the best.

Look, here’s the thing, okay? You’re not really anybody in my book unless you’ve performed at Carnegie Hall, or at the Evangelical Church hall in Tobermory, to which God has yet to make personal appearances. Sure, I get it that he appeared in person through His son on The Mount of Beatitudes, and gave a bloody marvelous speech, but honestly, that doesn’t cut it. It’s hardly a Judy Garland moment, right?

What is the point of this post? Honestly, I’m a little stuck writing my novel. It was then I realized I was asking God to help me. So, the point of this post is proof that God will sometimes ignore you.

Have a hell of a day.
