It's not until the role falls to us, we realize what a huge task it is to be a parent. I think we do love our parents more the older we ourselves age, Pamela. The first law to parenting is not to be your child's best friend. We leave that for others. Our role is to ensure you are on a good path, a moral path, and to become an upstanding and considerate human being. Then, and I think, only then, to we become our parent's best friend. 💜
