Just between you and me, everyone else stop reading, I was an utter clown at school. Missed it when I could, failed exams, and was taken under the wing of Mrs. Braebrook. Seven years after leaving mid school I earned my wings and flew the Harrier Mk 3 for nine years. I did fail my fighter pilot school, but my heart wasn't in that. Left the RAF and joined HM, Coastguard to fly helicopters. There are a few people in this world who owe their lives to a special team of people, one of whom failed his education requirements but had the love of one teacher, who to this day, I visit her at rest on the island. 🌺❤️
