Medium New Year’s Party Update
Some of you should be ashamed, but what happened at the Cock and Bull stays at the Cock and Bull.
It was a little after 2. a.m. when the last walking wounded left Times Square to go back to the Cock and Bull pub. Sadly, a few were left back at the pub, having been too enthusiastic early on in the evening. It was quite the mix of writers and poets, from the weasels, two-bit thugs, women of no class, no sophistication, and men who definitely looked a little edgy, but somehow it all made for a fun night and secrets will be revealed!
You’ll learn who wore the braless skintight t shirt, who was the guy in the Panama hat who threw whiskey to wet that girl's shirt, the poet with the camera asking to take Moonies of inebriated writers.
The shy ones wearing masks, will be exposed, and secret conversations in restrooms revealed. The guy dressed as Freddie Krueger, yes, you, we know what you did. The woman in the dazzling purple evening gown would like an apology. It wasn’t strapless for that reason!
I would like to offer a big thank you to the doormen, Danny La Rue, and Woody Allen, for keeping us safe and entertaining our LGBTQ friends.
Several of you turned up looking like professional drag artists, bring vivid colors to the evening and extraordinarily sized….well, thank you anyway.
Remember we all came having little expectations and wild dreams, no thought of responsibility, just gaping, drinking, and enough fun to keep us all smiling for a week.
May I say one last thing before I start putting together the secret recordings of the night, whoever brought the Bull with the Jingle Balls, nice one!
