Michael, aim having a quiet beer in the pub, and read this. I wish I knew something to help you, but the truth is I’ve never figured it out. I have over a 1.7k followers and it means nothing at all. I have, at a guess, twenty regular readers, of whom you are one. Time read is another issue. People respond who I know didn’t read the article but will write something like, I loved your post. I can tell by the data they spent less than two minutes on the page! Publications vary, I post to a few, but none have increased dramatically earnings or reads. Like you, if I get eyes on the page and ten reads, I count myself lucky. If I write anything with the word Trump in it, my views go up 200%! Go figure. Medium is t great for anything but people advising on how to make money, build your body, eat healthy, mental health, etc. Very little help for fiction, diary, memoir, though memoir publications are popping up.
