Day 23: My Favorite Season: Spring

There is a full Spring moon, no clouds clipping its glow, and there’s a stillness in my heart. It is a night filled with ghosts and spirits, as the first day of Spring enters in darkness.

I never feel a time more than I do with the coming of Spring, a time when deadened feelings become alive to touch and tenderness.

Across the Bay tonight, behind the hills is a star-laden sky.

It’s out there, somewhere, don’t you feel it returning? Some need, I guess. I don’t know. I know with the return of Spring I learn new things about humbleness. I have lived long and know what is unattainable and free. I know how some days I live a charmed existence, and maybe it doesn’t matter if I don’t have the skill of an engineer or the intrigue of a scientist because I’ve got something. I can neither describe it nor paint it nor prove how it was, is, or will be.

Spring brings a renewing of the soul, a shamed knight, living in winter, not in command of my flight toward or away, but a knight lost in a sharp, unforgiving wilderness is reborn to be a better knight, noble.

Spring, newness, revival, the dead coming back to life, the lost being found, buds burst, so much newness that will help you through the hard times.

All day the sun has shone down on my head, the cool Bay breeze ruffles the tablecloth on the table where I had lunch. I have a huge wooly sweater on against the chill air, so big two of us would not fill it.

Come then, enter this mystical and beautiful Spring, find new reasons to do anything, everything, be alive, be complete, this is your starting place, watch the world grow around you, caring for you, offering, warming, inviting you to be a part of it all.

Spring, a time when hearts are meeting, conversing, caring and laughing together. Spring — it can change your life. Don’t let made up suspicions enter your head and heart, it’s new.

It’s now.
