Clark lay in the grass, resting his head on a log, his legs folded at ninety degrees, as he flipped over a page of the book he was reading.

A friend lay nearby, looking up at the sky.

“The sky here looks so different?” She said.

“‘I cannot believe it’s not raining,” Clark responded.

“What’s that you’re reading, Clark?”

“Harry Potter.”

“Really!, The first one? The Philosopher’s Stone. Let me guess, you’re wondering what all the fuss is about? I read it for the same reason. Can you imagine going to school to learn magic and fly around on broomsticks instead of doing their regular lessons?”

“I’d have certainly enjoyed my school days much better, Lois.”

“‘Imagine that, wizards n’ dragons n’ all. And that cloak thing that makes him invisible.”

“I wouldn’t mind having a cloak like that. It’d come in useful, sometimes. I suppose we better be getting back before they miss us at the office, Lois.”

“How far do you think we came, Clark?”

“Three thousand miles, I’d guess.”

“Come on then. And keep and eye out for that Lex Luther. I think he’s still looking for you.”
