Phosphorescent Melodies

Phosphorescent melodies
Beneath a moonlit sea
Above the waves
The world still suffers
But it’s not that way for me

Incandescent glaciers
Melt in a warming breeze
Under the sun
Fires burn down
But it’s not that way for me

Bureaucratic policies
Trying to keep us free
Magna Carta
Constitution
But it’s not that way for me

Tobermory is my town
And where I like to be
Living life
Near the harbor
But it’s not that way for me

Contradiction, right and wrong
Watching the TV
Late night live
Then off to bed
But it’s not that way for me

Imagining a story
Writing fast and free
Romantic love
In a made up world
That’s how it is for me
