The Retirement Cruise
What better way to celebrate your retirement than on a cruise, unless you’re on the same ship as Siegfried?
So far, Siegfried had taken out at least two-thirds of the crew. Taking him most of the weekend to do so. At first, murdering the crew had been easy, but when they knew he was there, and as their numbers went down, it became increasingly harder to find his next target. Some were over-confident, thinking they could handle themselves. Siegfried had dealt with them quickly. The cruise ship seemed deserted, with passengers hiding in their cabins, several hundred of them on their retirement cruise.
He had to let himself be seen with little time to spare, and as an officer, holding a pistol, took a shot at him, Siegfried Raphael threw himself over the railing, flipping in the air and disappearing into the darkness below.
The officers, working their search for him in pairs, stepped cautiously over the rain-soaked deck, ready for any surprise coming from the shadows. Even though the officer had seen the murderer leap over the rails, he stepped cautiously. He didn’t want to be the next victim.
