The Trump Travesty of Justice
This is not a complex story. It is what immigrants can expect.
NOTE: No country wants to open its doors to individuals guilty of heinous crimes; it’s a stance rooted in both security and moral principle. I, myself, was once charged with “piracy” by Norwegian authorities after an environmental protest at sea — a charge that was later resolved diplomatically when I was brought back to the UK by the Foreign Office. Despite this, I was eventually issued a U.S. Green Card, a testament to how certain privileges, like being a white man, can smooth over bureaucratic hurdles. Meanwhile, the system shows its cracks — under Trump, pardons were handed out without regard for the severity of the crimes committed, exposing the selective and often inequitable nature of justice and immigration enforcement.
