Trump, the Instigator of America’s New Wisdom
It has been suggested that Trump followers have a low IQ. I met one who did not. I reposted this article, which I had written some months ago. Was she right all along?
I’m on a flight from Chicago to Denver, yet another trip in the Midwest of the United States. The business class is half-empty, so I have a choice of seats. I chose a window seat in the third row and hoped the upgrade list was small. Damn my luck, ten minutes before takeoff, and they’d filled my section. So much for solitude.
I was already dozing when a flurry of activity occurred. Passengers started filling the seats around me. Think what you will, but I’m visibly irritated that seats are being filled; it’s just a matter of time.
I keep a grim look, a shield against the havoc around me. The gloomy look is useless, but I’m content to watch, in an ungentlemanly way, the struggle of my seat companion. She first has to remove a laptop from a carry-on case before lifting an overweight piece of luggage into the overhead locker, which she fails to do, acting distressed.
A sucker from across the aisle leaps up, twice her age, and struggles as much with it over his head. It is a heart attack waiting to happen. The old boy…
